Selena Gomez’s friends hope her romance with Justin Bieber is over for good because she has “shed many tears” over Justin Bieber in the past year.
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were spotted together in New York on Sunday (11.11.12), where they are thought to have held talks about their relationship.
According to insiders, nothing was resolved during the emotional meeting and they have not yet decided if they have a future together. Meanwhile, friends close to Selena hope she doesn’t take Justin back because she tried to dump him several times in the past.
A friend said, “It’s been so difficult to watch this unfold over the past year or so. Selena has shed so many tears over Justin. She’s tried to split up with him so many times but they have always ended up back together. It’s out in the open now and that is one of the toughest parts, so that means there’s more chance it will be permanent this time. But we expect Justin to try to win her back – and he tends to get what he wants.”
When the couple first started dating JB was a baby faced, innocent singer, now he’s getting older, close friends believe he’s changed and is enjoying female attention more and more.
“When they originally started dating, Justin was a boy entertaining young girls, and now he’s a man surrounded by Victoria’s Secret models…and Selena doesn’t like that,” a source told the website.
While their split only came to light over the weekend, things are said to have been rocky for a while. An eye-witness, who saw them at Largo, at the Coronet Hotel in West Hollywood in August claimed Justin all but ignored his girlfriend.
“I knew something was wrong with Justin and Selena almost three months ago,” an insider told HollywoodLife.
They revealed: “Selena did NOT look happy. They were seeing their friend, comedian Bo Burnham perform. When they left, Justin was talking to all these girls who wanted pictures taken with him. He was laughing and flirting, while Selena just stood in the corner waiting for him.
“Justin used to be very protective of Selena, and the ultimate gentleman. But that night Justin left first with some buddies, and Selena followed behind.”
So will they get back together?
TMZ has reported that Justin isn’t worried about getting back with the ‘Spring Breakers’ star, though a Gomez source has told GossipCop they’re over for good, stating, “They are done. I can’t imagine them getting back together.”

I think they will get back together. She will play it hard to teach him a lesson for awhile and then take him back, it happened countless times already. To be honest I don’t think anyone else really knows their relationship except for justin and selena. Everyone including media always put pieces of stories together so who really knows what went down. I believe Justin loves Selena. On another note, maybe selena needs some space, she is only 20 and to be in a committed relationship is pretty intense especially in the position they are both in. All they know is eachother, so maybe they just need a break and then down the road work things out. If they’re meant to be than no doubt they’ll be back together but if not…than oh well. I do however think it’s sad they broke up before the holidays.
