Selena Gomez chatted with E! News Tuesday, Jan. 29 about how she’s doing since splitting from boyfriend Justin Bieber after two years of dating.
“I’m good. I’m really good,” Gomez said. “I’ve been recording, having a lot of fun with my girlfriends, having a good time.”
Bieber, 18, has also been busy making new music, and released the a track from his album Believe Acoustic on Jan. 28. In insider told Us Weekly that the ballad, “Nothing Like Us,” is about his relationship with Gomez.
“It tells the whole story about how he broke up with her, she begged him to take her back, and then he decided he was done for good,” the source explained to Us of the tune. “This is his answer to Selena.”
Gomez already cryptically covered Justin Timberlake’s breakup song “Cry Me a River” during a private concert on Jan. 19 — two months after Bieber himself covered the song at his own concert — but she may have her own Bieber-related songs to come.
“I’m having a lot of fun expressing everything that I’m feeling,” Selena told E! News about working on new music.
“I’ve been telling people I’m definitely a little bit more sassy now,” she added. “I’m a little bit more mouthy.”
